A NEW GAME FOR AN OLD ARCADE HABIT

Games like Halo CE: Riftline’s browser battles

If you miss Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer, Blood Gulch and big team battles, Riftline is a browser shooter to explore. It brings two-base team fights, vehicles and weapon pickups to Slopclip’s own Cinder Basin arena.

What carries that classic team-battle feeling

Choose a side, cross an open battlefield, contest weapon pickups and use vehicles with your team. Riftline supports eight actors per team, including people and bots. Different bot difficulties let you learn the controls before taking on other players. This is a small independent alpha with two online room slots.

What you are actually playing

You are playing Riftline, a separate game with its own map, balancing, progression and accounts. This is not a way to launch Halo CE, connect to Halo servers or play the original Blood Gulch map. It is not an official remake, port or Microsoft release. The comparison is about the style of multiplayer, not shared content or compatibility.

Before your first match

Use a desktop browser with keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. A verified Slopclip account is required for every hosted mode, including bot practice. Choose Load Riftline when you are ready: approximately 131 MB loads before play, with additional assets during a match. Touch gameplay is not supported.

Settings, results and honest feedback

Your account syncs supported control settings between devices. Eligible player-versus-player results are recorded by the game server; bot practice does not earn ranked progress. Under the game, leave a specific comment about aiming, vehicle handling, map routes or performance, or propose a feature poll.

Looking for the original Halo instead?

For the actual Halo games, use the official Halo site and its information about The Master Chief Collection. Slopclip and Riftline are independent of Microsoft, Xbox, Halo Studios and Bungie. Halo and Blood Gulch are referenced here only to identify the games and map being compared.
