Slop Gulch vehicles: who drives, who shoots?

There are five vehicle variants in Slop Gulch. Some need a crew. Some put everything in your hands. Here’s what each one does before you climb into the wrong seat.

Start with the Trailjack if you have a friend

Agree on the seats before heading out. The driver controls where the fight happens; the gunner needs a view of the target. Constantly changing direction makes that job harder. Try a route, tell each other when you’re turning, and swap roles after a run.

The third seat carries a passenger, not another turret operator. It’s a way to bring someone along who can get out and fight on foot. For the rocket version, look for Trailjack Siege.

On your own? Try the Skimmer

Skimmer puts movement, boost and pulse weapons under one pilot’s control. You don’t need to wait for a teammate to fill a second seat. Kestrel does the same for air combat, with a mortar as well as pulse weapons.

Bastion gives you a tracked cannon vehicle and room for a passenger. Don’t invite a friend into that passenger seat expecting a second independent turret.

A vehicle can still get you killed

Vehicles have health, can be destroyed and can respawn. They can also be hijacked. Getting into one changes your options; it doesn’t make you untouchable.

Infantry still have weapon pickups, grenades and cover. If you’re getting nowhere in a vehicle, get back on foot and try another route. The match is won on team eliminations, not on how long you keep the same ride.

Learn the controls in a private match

  1. Sign in to Slop Gulch with a verified account and select Create Match.
  2. Choose your teams, bot count and difficulty. Share the invite code if you’re practicing with someone.
  3. On keyboard, use E to interact with a vehicle. Check the in-game bindings for the rest of its controls.
  4. Try each seat, then switch roles. Pay attention to the camera and what each player can actually control.

Private matches award no global XP. They’re useful for learning without worrying about progression. Here’s how the invite flow works.

Before you load it

Slop Gulch is free and requires a verified account, including hosted bot matches. It runs in your browser but downloads substantial game assets. Use landscape for touch controls, and lower the graphics preset if steering or aiming stutters. The live map is Cinder Basin and the mode is Team Elimination.
